Experience an amazing time as you swim with the dolphins at Monkey Mia. Monkey Mia beach is part of the Shark Bay World heritage region of Western Australia.
The Kimberley although quite remote, is a wonderful region with gorges, waterfalls, Boab trees and the amazing rock formations at the Bungle Bungle.
Albany
Albany is the major seaport of the Southern region and the largest centre
in Western Australia outside the metropolitan area. Albany is surrounded by
rich agricultural land and minerals. It is also a major tourist venue attracting
thousands here each year for holidays.
Albany surrounds the Princess Royal harbour. Fantastic harbour views from Mount Melville and Mount Clarence often include sightings of dolphins and seals and during July to October the Humpback and Southern Right whales can be seen.
The tourist drive along Frenchman Bay Road is a "must do" when visiting Albany. Many attractions such as the Blow Holes, The Gap, Natural Bridge, Stoney Hill Lookout, The Windfarm and Whale World are found along this drive.
Dog Rock is a granite rock near Middleton Beach that resembles the head of a Labrador. This famous landmark is popular with photographers.
The Gap is a great spectacle along Albany's rugged coastline. It is a huge gap in the rock dropping 24 metres , which on rough sea days has spray rising up over the top of it. There is a viewing platform along its edge.
Middleton Beach & Middleton Beach Boardwalk are two popular attractions. Middleton Beach has 5kms of sandy beaches and is popular for swimming and windsurfing with picnic and playground facilities. Middleton Beach boardwalk offers a great scenic walk starting at the Beachside Cafe. Allow 90 minutes for the walk.
The Natural Bridge is a massive piece of granite which seas have eroded over hundreds of years to produce an impressive arch.
A 21 km scenic drive south along the Flinders Peninsula brings you to Whale World. Guided tours of the Old Whaling station are conducted regularly.
Emu Point river cruises & deep sea fishing charters depart the Emu Point Marina. Oyster & mussell farming occurs nearby and they are available for purchase at Emu Point Marina.
King River and Kalgan River
Scenic cruises, fishing, swimming and water ports are popular activities.
Take the Luke Penn Walk along the Kalgan River to experience the local flora
& fauna.
The Blow Holes are a series of fissures in the granite rocks
on the coast. Water is forced through the rocks by large waves.
The Albany Windfarm consists of 12 wind turbines. They are 60 metres high and produce 75% of the city's electricity.
Johns Barnesby Memorial Lookout at Mt Melville has magnificent views. The 23 metre lookout consists of 3 levels with the top two solely for observation.
The Vancouver Arts Centre is a historic building designed in the 1880's by the famous architect George T. Poole. It is now used for painting, spinning, weaving, stained glass and pottery. Exhibitions are viewed at The Gallery.
The Old Post Office is immaculately restored. It was opened in 1870.
The Old Farm at Strawberry Hill is an original wattle-and-daub cottagebuilt on the site of the Government Farm in 1831. The two-storey stone structure was built in 1836 as the private home of the Government Resident at Albany, Captain Richard Spencer. It is a recognised part of Western Australia's heritage.
Located in the quiet waters of King George Sound is one of the largest accessible dive wrecks in the southern hemisphere. The decommissioned HMAS Perth offers excellent diving and snorkelling.
Please take care as the coastline can be very dangerous and unpredictable. Stay on marked paths and within guard and safety-rails.
Broome
Broome is Western Australia's getaway to the Kimberley's. Located on the coast,
it has over 20 kilometres of white sandy beaches.
In 1861 Broome became famous for Pinctada Maxima - the world's largest pearl oyster shell. Many International visitors rushed to Broome joining the Aboriginal pearl divers and hoping to make their fortunes.
The Broome Bird Observatory is recognized as one of the top five bird watching locations in the world with over 245 species on record.

The surrounding Swan valley area is known for it's huge trees, impressive rock formations and wonderful waterfalls. The views can be enjoyed by car, boat trip up the river, or bush walking. There are some fabulous bush walks in this area.
Enjoy an abundance of wineries in this region, as this area boasts some of Australias best wines.
Kings Park is a "must see" with 400 Hectares of park, Botanic Gardens, and many walks. The view of Perth on the banks of the Swan River is spectacular from Kings Park viewing area. The Botanical Gardens in Kings Park contains 1700 native species of plants.
The Perth Zoo is Australia's most popular zoo considering the area's population. There is a vast collection of native and exotic animals.
Swan Bell Tower is a huge glass spire has become a famous Perth landmark for Australian and International tourists. The Bell Tower is one of the largest musical instruments on earth, which houses the twelve bells of Saint Martin from the Fields church of Buckingham Palace. It is believed to exist before the 14th century. The bells have rung to celebrate England's victory over the Spanish Armada in 1588, the homecoming of Captain James Cook in 1771 and the World War II victory at El Alamein. The bells have also rung to celebrate the New Year at Trafalgar Square for more than 275 years, and have rang to celebrate the coronation of every British monarch since King George II in 1727.
Adelaide is Perth's closest major city and is approximately 2700 kilometres
away.
